AboutAnimalLogistics · Shipper copy
Parcel shipping for live animals, with an operations team behind it.
Shipping live animals takes more than a label printer. AnimalLogistics checks species policy and carrier approvals, gives packing guidance, shows tracking from carrier scans, and has an operations team that can step in.
Operating principles
Seven operating rules.
- 1Animal safety and carrier approval precede price and checkout.
- 2Never imply a tracking scan is live GPS, or that a weather forecast guarantees survival.
- 3One source of truth for each shipment, with immutable financial and tracking history.
- 4Human operations staff can take over any exception without losing audit context.
- 5Shipper organizations own their contacts and shipment records; platform staff access is scoped and audited.
- 6Private identity, animal, claim and proof documents stay private.
- 7Responsive, keyboard-accessible light and dark interfaces everywhere.
Trust center
How we handle carriers, data and exceptions.
This page describes how the platform is designed to work. We don't display certifications, partner logos or audit badges we haven't earned.
Carrier approval gate
Carrier APIs can print labels, but that isn't permission to ship animals. The platform won't issue a live-animal label until the carrier has approved, in writing, the account, species, routes and platform arrangement. Each carrier has operations controls (approved for live animals, quoting, booking, sandbox mode and a kill switch), and every change needs step-up authentication, a reason and an audit entry.
Location eligibility is separate
Shipping eligibility and drop-off eligibility are different checks. Many retail points don't accept live animals, so each location carries its own acceptance status, provenance and last-confirmed date. See the coverage map.
Privacy
Shipper organizations own their customer lists; they are never merged into platform marketing audiences. Marketing consent is separate from operational notices, and necessary shipment updates can't be switched off by marketing preferences. Analytics honour your consent choices and mask form fields. Read the privacy policy.
Security
Passwords are hashed; sessions use secure HTTP-only cookies; two-factor authentication (authenticator app encouraged) and step-up checks protect refunds, billing and carrier settings. Access is role-based and scoped to your organization, and platform staff access is least-privilege and audited. Card details are handled by the payment provider. We never store card numbers.
Data handling & retention
Retention schedules are defined per record type. Financial, dispute and shipment records must be kept for set periods; other personal data can be exported or deleted on request through a documented workflow. Financial and audit records are never hard-deleted. They are redacted where the law allows.
Private documents
Labels, identity outputs, claim evidence, packing and arrival photos, and support attachments live in private storage (Cloudflare R2) separate from public site assets. They're reached only through short-lived authorized links, scanned before display, and never placed in sitemaps or public pages.
Human operations takeover
Carrier exceptions, missed scans, approaching hold deadlines and recipient concerns open a case automatically, queued by severity and animal risk. Operations staff can take over any exception, contact the carrier, and keep a full decision log.
Accurate status
Tracking is carrier scans, not live GPS. Every event shows its source, and a carrier's delivered scan never marks animals healthy. Forecasts are planning aids, not guarantees.
Launch status
Live-animal bookings open lane by lane only after carrier approvals are recorded, species and route rules are tested, drop-off locations are confirmed and support coverage is staffed. Live-arrival protection terms are pending underwriting review and are a service guarantee, not insurance.
